Lagoa Hotel

We stayed one week at this hotel and overall it was pleasant. The pool is lovely (even though the walls needed to be repainted), the rooms were great with lots of place, including couch, fridge and an inside and outside table on the balcony.The shower could be bigger. The food was okay but not worthy the money we payed for half board. There wasn't variety on the breakfast and if you arrived closer to 10 a.m most of the things were gone ( food not replaced, plates and cutlery not available). The dinner times finished too early (9.30pm) in my opinion and even though the food was tasty, it lacked in quality ( always tasted as if it was reheated on the microwave). The staff was nice but some of the staff lacked in elegance in the customer treatment (e.g one in particular used to ask us if everything was ok, but would continue to walk not waiting for our answer and used to use the gesture "thumbs up" when dining in order to find out if it was all good). In terms of location, could be better, there's not much to do around, mostly you have to go to Portimão if you want some entertainment. Overall it was a pleasant experience but I don't think that this aparthotel should be rated as 4 stars.

We stayed here several times now and it's always been great. Lovely choice at breakfast incl fruits, nuts, cooked brekkie, fresh bread, pastries, cheese, ham and more. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are really comfy. Tv a little annoying as hard to find English speaking channels 😂 A little noisy with road noise and doggo barking in the distance but it does not put us off coming here time and time again. Staff are always polite and helpful. Love it here
